*A Vow of Hate Novella*
They say happy endings come after marriage. But my marriage to Julianna was anything but pretty and happy. Our beginning was tainted with lies and deceit.
We were poison until we found the cure.
The truth liberated us from our hate, and we found our happy ending.
Or I thought so…
Leaving our past behind has proven to be difficult when we’re surrounded by evil. Gracelynn’s death still haunts Julianna and she’s trapped in a never-ending cycle of nightmares. And me? I’m shackled by the unspoken fear of losing her again.
Julianna’s father asked me: How far will I go to protect my wife?
As far as I need to go.
The world asked me: What will I give up for my wife?
*This novella is a sequel/extended epilogue to Killian’s and Julianna’s story. A VOW OF HATE must be read before A VOW OF FOREVER*
My Rating: ★★★★ ★
The only things wrong with this novella is…well…it’s a novella. I absolutely feel like there was enough content there to really flesh out into a full novel. Killian and Julianna are back with this extended epilogue and I am here for it.
There was drama, angst, love, heartache,(it wouldn’t be them if there was no heartache). But there is also so much joy, redemption, forgiveness and growth of the characters since we last saw them.
Still battling with their past, they show us once again that marriage is a decision, a commitment that one makes and decides to keep. Still remorseful and somewhat bogged down by their past, Jules is finding it hard to let go. Killian has grown so much since the last book. He does everything in his power to ensure his wife’s happiness and decides it is a good time to start again. New vows, new promises, new commitments.
I really enjoyed this. I got so into it I was bummed to see it end. There was so much to unpack I really believe it could have been a fantastic full novel.
