Remi Tanner was only supposed to be a pawn in my game. But I screwed up. I broke her. And now I have to find a way to fix it.

I want her.
I need her.
In the end, Iโ€™ll prove sheโ€™s the only thing that matters.

Ace Jagger wasnโ€™t supposed to imprint himself on my heart. But he did, before he tore it from my chest and hurt me in the worst possible way.

Heโ€™s possessive.
Dangerous.
In the end, Iโ€™m not sure I can resist.

He might be the bad boy with no conscience, and I might the girl with nothing left to lose, but one thingโ€™s for sure… He wonโ€™t stop until gets what he wants.

Me.

Tame Him is the second book in the Rebels at Sterling Prep series. It is a dark high school bully romance. If possessive, tattooed, motorcycle-riding alphaholes aren’t your thing, you probably won’t like this book!

ARC KINDLY PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW

So, we basically pick up where we left off with book one. As I said in the review of that book, Ace is set for revenge, but the plan blows up in his face. When Remi wakes up in hospital, Ace canโ€™t bring himself to face his uncle so hides out while sneaking in to check on Remi.

Ace finally concedes that what he feels for Remi is a lot like love. He wants his girl back, but he knows he fucked up royallyโ€ฆso first step is to get back in her good books.

Listen Iโ€™m not one to judge but what Ace did was really fucked up. And of course Remi swears up and down how sheโ€™s done with him blah blah blah. But as soon as she gets home, and he touches her, all that shit goes out the window

After a stunt like that I expected some serious grovelling. I get it. she loves him blah blah blah but fuck me. He did not even try very hard and she was begging him to hump her

I mean she showed more resistance with the Ace and Michaela misunderstanding. I would have thought the video was a much bigger crimeโ€ฆbut hey, what do I know?

Anyway, they move on and somehow, they decide that it was Michaela was responsible for leaking the video. I wish that would have been fleshed out a bit. While their suspicions may have been accurate, they could have done more to confirm them. Nonetheless, once again Ace is out for revenge and once again has a plan up his sleeve (we know how well that turned out last time).

Anyway, when Aceโ€™s parents secret is finally revealed and who James really is, I did not see that coming.ย  And Ace showed some maturity this time and handled it a bit better. Cole however didnโ€™t.

This was a perfect conclusion to Ace and Remiโ€™s story. This time Ace was a bit softer. His determination to win and keep Remi caused him to act like his got some sense. I still wish the characters โ€œlivedโ€ with each other more. Their relationships were parallel. Ace and Remi, occasionally Conner featured. Cole may as well have not been there. He said about 4 line the whole book. Sarah and James again were independent on their children, Sarah and Remi, etc. there wasnโ€™t enough cohesion between the characters.

Again, what is it about the Jagger men thinking its smart to use Remi to get revenge on James? I do not understand what Charlie was trying to achieve. He just came out of nowhere. Just like Remiโ€™s dad. He came and went as quickly as he came. Also, what the hell does James do? If Bexleyโ€™s parents are supposed to be super rich and powerful, how much juice does James really have to get them to pack their son up and move him away?ย  I still feel like the supporting characters are not well developed. We donโ€™t know what James or Sarah do for a living. Perhaps itโ€™s because the brothers will have their own books, but I really hope next books they come together a bit more. But

Nonetheless, I canโ€™t wait for Hadley and Coleโ€™s story.
