Forbidden love… I guess that’s what you’d call what we have. But to me, it’s just us.
This is the story of how I fell in love with a man unlike any other. About how he loved me so deeply and completely, even when I tried to fight it, his love continued to shine through. Because when Travis Gellar decides to let love in, it’s the most beautiful thing. He loves without condition.

She’s the only one in my life to show me what it was like to be loved and cared for. I knew long before she did that we were meant to be together, that we’d be amazing. I just had to tear down her walls first to make her see. Once those walls fell and she saw what we could be, she saw all the beauty that I’d seen all along.
Josie isn’t just physically beautiful, but she’s beautiful inside and out. I’ve made it my mission to make sure she knows exactly how beautiful she really is. But more than that, I want to love her. Always. She’s a part of me and I’m a part of her, even when fate tries to intervene.

First all Linday Becs, did you really have to end this book like that? Couldn’t you just let them have a happy ending?

I have read a lot of books in my time and I have never and I mean ever cried when reading a book. But let me tell you I balled my eyes out reading this one. By the end of it, my heart was sore, I called my husband to tell him I love him and called my mom who beat cancer 6 years ago to tell her that I love her too. All the while reminding myself ITS JUST A BOOK!! But if that’s not a sign of a good a book I don’t know what is. I have to admit this book was not in my radar at all. I only read because it I got the ARC of book 4 with recommendation to read this one first. And boy am I glad I did. When I first started the book I thought, this is different. I’ve read a lot of forbidden age gap romances but about a cougar? Never. I thought

I’m here for it. When I got to part 2 of the book, I started to feel feels in my feelings. Travis…I’m going to hell because I’m lusting after an 18 year old.

“You’re it for me Joes, There’s no one else but you. Ever. I love you in all your forms, and you ate never anything less than stunning.”

Lawd have mercy Travis.  An 18 year old boy from a dysfunctional family who seeks refuse at his best friend’s house 2 doors down. He spends more time there than he does his own house. When those teenage hormones start to kick in, he starts to see his best friend’s mother as more than just that. He catches feelings that are so intense I even doubt he knows what he’s talking about.  At this point I’m thinking it’s just a phase. You know he’ll get over it. Because, we’ll he’s 18. And generally 18 year olds are stupid. Yes I know I’m stereotyping but you have to understand, Travis came on strong that you had to wonder if he really understood what he was talking about.  But after a while there was no denying that for Josie, he definitely was sure of what he spoke and was in

Josie is a divorced mom of two. Having recovered from a loveless marriage and abandonment by an asshole of a husband, she doesn’t appear to have any plans for another relationship. All her life it seems she’s been the talk of the town for one reason or another. So when Travis expresses interest in her, she decides that the last she needs is to be yet again, the talk of the town; as a cradle snatcher. But the heart wants what the heart wants. Travis is everything she never knew she wanted. He’s kind to her, treats her like gold and makes her feels loved and cherished. Her heart and head are truly at war. But her worries over what people will say overtake her and she lets go of the one thing it turns out she needs more than life itself.

“So, if you’re sure this is it for us, then I’m done. It’s too damn hard to start and stop with you. So are you sure?”

When Travis family walks away, it takes tragedy to being him back to her door step. This time neither have the strength or desire to pull away. I have to admit, I was really surprised at Travis’ maturity level. For a guy that age he seemed to have his shit together. And if anything Josie says is an indication of things, he also has a

That’s always a plus. Anyway, so the first wave of tragedy passes and I’m thinking yes,

And then

At this point, I’m in tears, my heart is sore, it’s a whole thing. I just want to crawl into the pages and give Travis a big hug.

This was the most heart breaking in the best way possible book I’ve ever read.
